In our quest to experience first-hand or from nearby the cultures of those alien to us we have crossed borders all over the African continent. It is an extremely large continent though and the numbers of different cultures are many. Remember that we prefer to stick to what is true and natural and stay away from the pretentious cultural experiences.
Africa is obviously widely known and popular for its magnificent safari experiences. Africa is more than just safari though. It is a continent that has endured great struggle but at the same time it is a continent that has come an extremely far way. The culture is diverse, interesting and beautiful. We are not interested in fake cultural experiences where local people are made to dance and entertain tourists. The experiences we are interested in are those that give you true insight into how people live who have a completely contrasting culture compared to your own. Step into the lives of Africans…
You now know that the beautiful Seychelles is completely unique. Not an Island but a cluster of them, some so untouched, so beautifully kept you will not believe your eyes. Seychelles is a perfect holiday destination for families but also a very romantic place. It is not yet completely discovered by the world which creates a still charming feel on the Island, or shall I rather say Islands.
Known as the home of Rhodes University, and the host of one of the country’s longest running and major arts festivals – the National Arts Festival, Grahamstown is a definite must visit. It is lesser known that this lovely town is part of a extremely diverse ecological region in South Africa, with thousands of hectares devoted to nature and game conservation. Grahamstown is also known as ‘City of Saints’ due to the plethora of churches. It a beautiful little town with a bunch of stunning old buildings and museums.
South Africa is jam packed with some of the most amazing and breath-taking sceneries in the world. This vast country has so much untouched beauty it is hardly possible to select our favourite parts. Some however are more photogenic than others. This one is for the photography travellers out there whose cameras have become an extra limb and lens and extra eye.
Easter weekend is upon us and it is such a fun holiday. The kids get to enjoy it as well as the grownups. How about making this Easter weekend a special one by going away with the family and seeing a different stunning part of the country?
