Renowned for its Big Five game viewing, the 65 000ha Sabi Sand Game Reserve – within which Cheetah Plains Private Game reserve is located – lies adjacent to the south-west corner of the Kruger National Park, where it shares a 50km border. There are no fences between the two reserves, allowing game to move freely between the two areas and, as a result, the reserve offers some of the most exceptional wildlife in southern Africa. Of particular interest are the leaps of leopards that traverse the areas – beautiful, large, majestic cats.
Cheetah Plains is one of the oldest bush camps in the Sabi Sand, where the emphasis is on offering guests traditional Safari values, comfortable accommodation, with great food, prepared around the campfire. An excellent game viewing on 8500 ha and friendly attentive staff will round our safari off. The lodge only has eight chalets, which ensures an exclusive Safari experience.
The eight traditionally-thatched chalets at Cheetah Plains melt into beautiful indigenous gardens, which in turn are surrounded by pristine African bushveld.
Each chalet has either a double bed or two single beds, an en-suite shower, air-conditioning, mosquito net, and a verandah overlooking the gardens and the wild African bush.
There are two different room types at Cheetah Plains:
6 Standard Chalets
The standard chalet’s are comfortable with an indoor shower, and no bath.
2 x Luxury Chalets
Each luxury chalet consists of an ensuite bathroom, with a bath and a beautiful outdoor shower.
